It strengthened its presence in France ???? by acquiring the French company Regiplast, a financial operation worth 6.5 million euros. With an annual production of two million toilet cisterns and three million mechanisms, the Aveiro factory closed the 2023 fiscal year with revenues of 73 million euros, of which 76% were generated from exports to over 80 countries across five continents ??. IMEX WAS A VIBE ?????? Despite a non stop speaking schedule and ancillary events I did not leave #IMEXexhausted, but instead filled with #gratitude, #joy, and hope for a brighter future for #people and #planet. Here are my top takeaways 1. Producers need partners to create real impact for the #local #community….. billions of dollars are being spent around around tent pole #events resulting in little more than photos ops for the local community. One thought leader said she feels like a fraud, for this this behavior. Yikes…We need to change this in 2025. 2. The successful launch of #IMPACTXi with Google Experience Institute proved that event attendees and employees want meet ups based on their values, not just demographics. This leads to brand loyalty, #community, and #impact. 3. #Mentalhealth is top of mind. Loneliness, over stimulation, demanding meeting schedules, and lack of healthy foods, water, and mocktails - were some of the call outs we heard. People want options and solutions. Brands that don’t speak to this risk alienating their stakeholders and losing market share. Bonus- #Changemakers and #purposedriven #leaders need not worry about the blockers/haters and getting it all accomplished in this life time. Instead keep pushing with an armor of integrity, #purpose, self love, #community, and alchemy. The goal is to reach the tipping point. The next generation will take it from there ?? PPE Day 11: “Cultural Extravaganza” Today, our entire batch had the privilege of attending the “Lok Mela 2024”, a cultural festival held at Lok Versa. As we entered the vibrant event, I was instantly struck by the energy and variety that filled the air. Divided into groups, we toured different pavilions, interacting with stall owners, learning about their heritage, and discovering the rich cultural values embedded in their products. It was a visual and auditory feast – women singing folk songs in melodious voices, men dancing in traditional attire, and the crowd immersed in the beauty of Pakistan’s diverse culture. However, while the experience was enriching, there is something I think needs to change. Every year, the Lok Mela seems to have a very similar vibe—same pavilions, same crowd, same stalls. Innovation in design, layout, and overall experience could make this festival even more engaging for the public. Additionally, while the cultural pieces on display were stunning, the prices were quite steep. There should be a regulatory measure in place to make these products more affordable, enabling more people to connect with and embrace our vibrant heritage. One experience I’d like to share that left a lasting impression: as we were leaving the mela, a woman in her mid-thirties was offering stamp henna at a stall. After some negotiation, we agreed on a rate of 50 Rs for a hand. What seemed like a quick and simple transaction turned into something else entirely. When it came time to pay, the vendor demanded 1500 Rs, claiming that each flower on the hand was 50 Rs! Of course, we refused, but she created a scene, shouting and making threats. In the end, we calmly placed the 100 Rs we initially agreed upon on her table and walked away. This experience serves as a reminder that, while the festival is a great opportunity to showcase our culture, there needs to be more awareness about pricing fairness and safety.
