Our carbon reduction strategy has undergone rigorous analysis by an independent panel of scientific experts. ?? The validation of our carbon reduction trajectory by SBTi underscores the robustness and credibility of our long-standing commitment and the actions we've implemented over the years.?? At Ramirent, we're committed to reducing our direct emissions by 50% and our indirect emissions by 30% by 2030, compared to 2019 levels. ?? This is especially significant because indirect emissions make up 95% of our total emissions. By focusing on this, we can also help our customers move toward zero-emission projects. ??? So, how are we making a difference? We're continually investing in low-emission equipment (RamiGreen) and have developed an emissions calculator that allows our customers to optimize rental equipment usage and reduce site emissions. ????? Together with our mother company Loxam, we’re incredibly proud to lead the way as the first equipment rental company to receive Science Based Targets (SBTi) approval for our emissions reduction goals. As the road-building industry shifts towards more sustainable practices, one inspiring example comes from a sector of road maintenance that has utilized an innovative recycling method since the 1980s. Hot-in-place asphalt recycling (HIPAR) uses 60 per cent less energy than a newly-paved road and recycles 100 per cent of the existing asphalt to a depth of 50 millimetres. In BC, three paving companies have quietly been recycling roads using this method for decades: ARC Asphalt Recycling, Green Roads Recycling, and Peter Bros Paving. The Norwegian Government allocates an intial NOK 35 billion for the #floating #offshorewind project at Utsira Nord, in practice guaranteeing state support for one of the three projects to be awarded next year. RES and our partners in the Siravind consortium are ready for tough competition, but Norway needs higher ambitions and a predicable route to market for also the next two projects if we want to remain an attractive market.
