As one of the world’s largest and most prestigious international shipping event, it gathers leading and maritime professionals, companies, products and service providers including shipowners, charterers, shipbuilders, and suppliers. We learned that Greece was selected as the permanent host of this biennial event because of its ancestral history and culture in maritime world and also the home of big Shipowners (Greek-owned vessels is approximately 21pct of global population) and some of these shipping magnate even control the European league football club!. Posidonia offers a vibe of confidence over networking events, insights during conferences, one to one meetings and to reveal a humongous of business opportunities around latest industry trends and disruption, maritime technology innovation, and regulatory updates. Posidonia is highly influential in shaping the future of global maritime industry. Our CEO and delegates also attended the Indonesia-Hellenic Business Forum sponsored by Indonesia Embassy in Athens to have an open dialogue between Greece maritime industry and PIS and Indonesian National Shipowners Association (INSA) with regards to potential business collaboration in maritime education, technology and terminal operation, ship financing and fleet development. 2024 is starting strong, with a positive 7% growth in international travelers, compared to the same month last year ?? The growth of International passengers is distributed at Trondheim +9%, Stavanger +9%, Bergen +5% and Oslo +3%. For our regional airports we see a growth of 67%, and Troms? is responsible for almost 90% off it! ?? "We are particularly seeing an increased interest in certain parts of Norway's winter product. We are especially seeing international demand for Troms? Airport, where in January we experienced a passenger growth of 126 percent on international routes compared to last year," says Gaute S. Riise, VP Traffic Development at Avinor. We also have to mention the total freight growth at 8%, compared to January of 2023 ?? The numbers shows us that the increase is driven by #freight volume on international routes, and the volume of international freight accounts for almost 95% of the total volume ??
