A big victory for patients and the nuclear medicine field! After 16?years of advocacy and collaboration, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has announced the unbundling of diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals at the $630 level. This will open up access to nuclear medicine scans, altering the course of treatment for patients who need it the most, as well as spur innovation and production in the pharmaceutical industry. SNMMI applauds CMS for this significant improvement in access to nuclear medicine. This is a community victory that came from a community effort — your voices in support of this important cause had a great impact.
