This was certainly an interesting day out… I’m grateful that the Corporate Jet Investor conference allowed me to come and speak from my heart nonetheless. I feel it’s important for us all to move beyond our echo chambers and look for shared interests. E.g a habitable planet and preservation of flying in some form, albeit very different to what we see today. Contention for hangar space is a perfect analogy of what happens to inflight Wi-Fi above this busy region --?when too many users have to share the same?Wi-Fi?bandwidth, the space is jammed leaving some with limited or no capacity. Owners and operators of airports and aerodromes in regional Australia can now apply for a share of $25 million to undertake important upgrades to improve safety and access. Round four of the Regional Airports Program is now open for applications between $20,000 and $7.5 million to cover up to half of the eligible project costs. Works may include upgrades to runways, drainage, lighting, fencing, navigation and safety training. Funding can be used for projects that will help with the transition to net zero in aviation. This includes technology such as electric chargers and hydrogen fuel storage for aircraft use. Applications close on 18 November 2024.
