People power movements, and movements are sustained by the power of community. This week I saw the sustaining power of community when several hundred National MS Society leadership volunteers and staff came together in Denver for our 2024 Leadership Summit. Over two days we reflected on progress over the past year, heard powerful stories about how MS affects people and our communities, and learned from each other. I was also honored to deliver my first keynote address as the Society's President and CEO. I challenged our leaders to imagine a future where: ?? An MS diagnosis can be made in hours rather than months, or years ?? Everyone with MS can have an affordable treatment plan, tailored just for them - no matter what type of MS they may have ?? People with MS can count on experienced guides to assist in anticipating and navigating the challenges of MS ?? An MS diagnosis is nothing to fear because there's a cure. An ambitious future? No doubt! Will it take time, resources and lots of hard work? Of course! Can our MS community create this future? Absolutely! I believe we can do this because of the collective strength, commitment, and leadership of the MS movement. Together we will create a future without MS. #MS #multiplesclerosis
