Our research shows that mackerel fish oil can offer significant protection against heart damage. Key findings: * Reduced oxidative stress: Mackerel oil, particularly from raw fish, significantly lowered oxidative stress markers. * Improved lipid profile: It helped regulate cholesterol and triglyceride levels. * Enhanced heart function: The oil protected the heart muscle from damage induced by stress. For more details you can access the publication via doi:10.5923/j.als.20241201.02 I honestly want to thank my advisor and lab partners for the team work. Respectfully, your abstract does not show that. You had 96% attrition (went from 2000->85 participants) with no imputation analysis. Study was not randomized and has no control group. You literally CANNOT make any (causal) claim of this sort except to say your results may generate a hypothesis. Your study would not pass basic peer review. More marketing over substance. https://lnkd.in/gvXhPmvr
Co-founder & Co-CEO @ Embla | On a mission to eradicate reductive approaches to weight loss | Medical doctor | Writing about health & society
For 2+ years, Embla's research team have been collecting weight loss data from 2000+ of our members. A few weeks ago, we presented our ground-breaking findings from this research during the European Congress on Obesity in Italy. In short, our results show that: - You can come off of GLP-1 medication without regaining weight if you taper off gradually. - People who use our service in combination with semaglutide lose on avg. 14.9kg over 76 weeks. - You can get meaningful results with only a third of the usual dose. Now finally, we're seeing more media recognising this. And more importantly, the implications of it. -> You don't need lifelong drugs to maintain weight loss. Used with: - the right care - individualised dosing, - and alongside professional lifestyle support Semaglutide can be a temporary force for good and an effective tool to support a holistic approach to weight loss. Thanks a lot to Berlingske and all the other publications who’ve shared our study results. The more people who see this data, the better.
