Sampson State Park, located on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake in Romulus, NY, recently underwent infrastructure upgrades to enhance the park experience for all visitors. A new RV dump station, roadway reconstruction, and monument park entrance sign were installed after a recent surge in visitors over the past few years. Wayne County, New York, marked the completion of its brand-new EMS headquarters with a ribbon cutting this past Tuesday! LaBella Associates provided full architectural and engineering services for the design and construction of the six-bay EMS ambulance base in Lyons, NY. The gender-neutral facility includes an apparatus bay area, crew lounge, and administrative, conference, and training areas. It serves as a standard building design for future substation sites with the ability to expand. Next week, Reuben Hull, PE, PMP, M.ASCE, LaBella’s Assistant Municipal Discipline Leader and Senior Civil Engineer, will represent the firm at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 2024 Convention in Tampa, Florida. ?? ?? This flagship event, taking place from October 6-9, 2024, will feature an incredible lineup of programming, including keynote presentations, invited panels, case histories, research papers, and the annual ASCE members meeting. Reuben will facilitate the Civil Engineering History and Heritage sessions (5 in total!) on October 7th and 8th, exploring significant civil engineering achievements both in the Tampa region and nationwide.
