As my friend and colleague Matthew Hughes mentioned, today is International Men's Day. As you can see below, we are both equally good at growing a moustache. Movember is a tremendous cause that is changing the face of men's health, purely existing to help men live happier, healthier and longer lives. With a focus on three worthy causes; 1) Mental Health and Suicide Prevention 2) Prostate Cancer 3) Testicular Cancer The purpose of this is not just to raise some money, but also to raise awareness and get men talking. Everyone will feel the impact of cancer in their lifetime. That could be through facing a diagnosis themselves, or because a loved one or friend is affected. Today 384,000 cancer cases are diagnosed each year in the UK, that’s about 7 every 10 minutes - about the time it took me to write this post. If current UK trends continue, diagnoses will rise to over half a million by 2040, around a third more, with a quarter more cancer deaths; 208,000 each year. That’s why I’m doing 100 push-ups a day throughout April to help raise money for Cancer Research UK (CRUK). Please show your support and help fund lifesaving research by donating to my page.
