Never when we sat down for that coffee all those years ago did I think we would end up here. Very proud of all that we have achieved over the past two years, the incredible team we have and the wonderful group of clients we have built. Smartest, most genuine, hardworking bloke there is. Honour and privledge to learn and spend majority of most days with you! Could write a list as long as the Nile about what I’ve learnt from JB, here’s 5 points that first come to mind; 1. Listen, listen more, take notes, summarise in writing, engage any expert you can to upskill and better understand the problem, turn the world over to find the most powerful solution. 2. If you find yourself with a few spare minutes having finished a meeting early, driving or walking to lunch, spend this time calling your team members to check in, this will be invaluable to both you and them. 3. No matter how busy you are, always make the time to stay connected and engaged with your network, a quick text is all it takes. 4. Respect and celebrate the achievements of our peers, their success makes us better and drives us forward as an industry. The quote I love from JB most is, “there’s enough clients out there for everyone.” 5. Always remember, we aren’t saving lives. Your family and your health always come first. One of a kind JB. That's what a retail family is all about. ?Please support the store managers, district managers, supervisors and the staff looking for work across the country. Your retail skills are valuable and absolutely transferable into almost any field. ?For anyone hiring here is a day in the life....You talk to anyone who comes in. ?You watch the KPIs and coach the staff to drive performance. You teach life skills to entry level employees and hold accountable grown adults. ?You multi-task like you have a legion of people in the building while really managing payroll to the quarter hour. ?You have difficult conversations and console your people with every day struggles in and out of work. ?You havetalk professionally and without judgment to individuals who lost their mind over a policy you can't change. You keep the place clean and visually gorgeous every day. ?And you do it all with a smile and an earpiece on. ?I see you. ?I support you. We got the news on Wednesday that our location is closing. I have to be honest I’m still in that denial stage… but the first thing that came to my mind was “ omg my people ! “ and how I was going to break down this news to them. It hasn’t been easy but my team and I came together and we decided we are going to make the best of it. We are going to celebrate all the small wins from now til our doors close and cherish all our moments together??

Today marks my one year anniversary at Placer.ai. 365 days in the blink of an eye! Reflecting on the past year fills me with gratitude not only for what we've accomplished but for the incredible milestones ahead. I "found" this industry over ten years ago with a little bit of luck and almost by mistake. At the time, I was buying media for a brand and was perplexed by a problem: our mobile advertising didn't convert. But why? I set out on a path to find a company that could help solve that problem, and it unlocked a series of events that has turned location analytics into my career path. Since then, I've had the honor of working with some of the world's largest brands and organizations to uncover use cases far beyond media. It has been 10 years full of learning, asking questions, and creatively solving for big, real world problems in retail, commercial real estate, marketing, strategy, tourism, financial services, and more. A decade in, I find myself more excited than ever. I am proud to work for the market leader in location analytics and look forward to many years of growth and success to come.
