Almost daily I receive multiple direct messages on all platforms, easily a hundred a week. Most of the time, these are good people trying to sell their services, build a network, get hired, or something fair and honest. Sadly, too many of them are using outdated sales strategies, spammy phrases and tactics, and seem to have been trained to sell in the worst way possible. Or even worse, they are paying someone to do outreach using their name. Terrible! I regularly share the worst messages (protecting their identity of course). I also usually let the spammers know their tactics are misguided and there is a better way. I have a very high success rate with connecting with people and converting into business opportunities.
