The ClinGen Resource Actionability community curation team, which is coordinated by staff in the Translational and Applied Genomics department at CHR, is looking for volunteer curators. ??????
We are excited to announce that ClinGen Resource’s Actionability Working Group is welcoming new volunteers to support their work! We are shining a spotlight on Actionability to share this great news and all the important work they do with our network! The overarching goal of Actionability is to identify genes and associated genetic conditions with available interventions to prevent or improve health outcomes. The Actionability Working Group:? ? Produces evidence-based reports and actionability assertions. ? Makes actionability resources available to aid efforts to prioritize return of genetic findings to individuals with the greatest relevance for clinical intervention. ? Maximizes the impact of clinical actionability evidence across multiple populations. The Actionability volunteer curators are involved in the early rule-out stage, where they curate gene-condition pairs to determine if they meet a baseline threshold of actionability for full curation. If this resonates with you, you might make a great Actionability curator!
