Limitations and restrictions foster more creative depth. This observation was recently reinforced by my daughter's 9th birthday present. She had been asking for an Instax FujiFilm mini camera for a while, and upon receiving it, her approach to taking photos instantly changed. Instead of firing off 100+ photos on my iPhone without paying attention to detail, she began spending time considering the subject, lighting, position, and orientation, knowing that she had a finite number of film prints. The result? Creatively better photos. It's fascinating to see the power of limitations and how they can spark creativity, even in a 9-year-old's unbiased mind. HDR, or High Dynamic Range, has evolved significantly over the years. ?? . . Despite some mixed opinions, HDR remains a powerful tool for creators I would say, whether using a camera or smartphone. While the basic concept is similar across devices, the implementation can vary greatly due to differences in sensor technology and inbuilt frame rates. ?? . . But, Remember, the key to using HDR effectively is knowing when it enhances your image and when it might detract from your vision. Even with all the iPhones and the Galaxys, tourist spots still have photographers. They now carry portable printers. One can argue that it's not just the high end but also the low-mid range phones that have good quality cameras. That's true. Their actual audience is not the people without iphones and Galaxys.
