Why Asile Strategies? ?? I love systems. Not all of them, of course, but I have a deep appreciation for how systems are designed. I've worked with faith-based institutions, neighborhood groups, grassroots organizers, and more. I believe that effective strategy is about understanding systems and seeing yourself as one of the little pieces that make up the larger system at play. ?? I believe that we are the freedom we wish to seek. It’s easy to “be the change we wish to see” in theory, but practice requires an intentional, strategic roadmap. My approach to strategy is creative, imaginative, and fun -- just like freedom should feel. ?? I am inspired by the radical optimism of my ancestors. If Harriet Tubman, Madam CJ Walker, my grandmother (anne anne in Turkish), and countless others had the audacity to dream big and advocate for the world they wanted to live in against insurmountable odds, why can’t we?! ?? I help you feel confident in your big vision for justice. With my expertise in racial justice, advocacy, systemic change, and wellness, I create customized facilitation packages tailored to your team’s needs. You will walk away from our collaboration sessions feeling inspired, equipped, and ready to make a sustainable impact in your organization and beyond. ?? I don’t just talk the talk. My blog, The Sankofa Series (https://lnkd.in/eNAjvYPK) is my playground to unpack my perspective on freedom and systemic change as I learn and grow in real time. I am always a student of the work, and I encourage you to follow along as I bravely share my learnings, curiosities, and experiences in public. Ready for transformation? We are currently available for bookings. Send me a PM to schedule a consultation. Im excited to connect! https://lnkd.in/eQgMuzvk #NewBeginnings #Consulting #StrategicPlanning #Facilitation #RacialJustice #Advocacy #SystemicChange #Wellness #SustainableImpact #AsileStrategies

Hey everyone! I'm currently in Geneva at the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent, and let me tell you, the energy here is simply amazing. Picture this: 1000+ Black individuals from around the globe, all under one roof, united in our mission for justice, education, reparations, and fair inclusion. It's a powerful space. This week, we're exploring some big topics. We're discussing the role of reparations in sustainable development, economic justice, and the impact of systemic racism in education. Plus, we're celebrating the amazing cultures and contributions of people of African descent through discussions, performances, and exhibitions. I'm here representing Canadian groups working with UNDPAD, specifically focusing on advocating for permanent legislative policy for Black Canadians. It's an honor to be surrounded by fellow advocates and to have the chance to learn from and connect with so many incredible people. Because let's face it: when we come together as a community and push for change, that's when real growth happens. It's about building strong communities that stand up for what's right and work towards a brighter future for all. The good news is you can join in live ?here https://lnkd.in/gT8de6vE So, here's to the power of unity, the importance of advocacy, and the hope for a world where everyone is treated with fairness and respect. #UNDPAD #Advocacy #GenevaConference #ChangeMakers

Boston While Black’s mission has always been to create spaces of connection, belonging, and resilience for Black people of all backgrounds and intersections. In times like these, that mission feels more essential than ever. Over these past few days, we know our community continues to find moments to process, recharge, and hold space. While we may not have all the answers, one thing is certain: we have each other. For many, recent events serve as a reminder of the persistent challenges we face. At Boston While Black, we recognize this journey—and the weight it can carry. Now more than ever, we’re committed to creating spaces where our community can feel truly seen, supported, and safe. Together, we’re leaning on one another, propping each other up, and moving forward in the spirit of resilience and community. There are many unknowns as we consider how to move forward over the next few weeks, months, and years. However, one thing is certain: the need for genuine community, authentic connections, and unyielding belonging is stronger than ever. To everyone on this journey, we’re here for you. #CommunityStrength #BelongingMatters #FindYourTribe?
