The aviation sector has pledged to reach Net Zero by 2050. Among the numerous initiatives to aid this transition, Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs) are the first likely to have a tangible effect. SAFs can result in an 80% reduction in lifecycle emissions. This technology is proven and certified, having already been used on over 200,000 flights, and no changes are required to existing aircraft. Air Link parent company Aviation Logistics Holdings says it will become the first general aviation firm in Australia to trial sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in its jet operations. Aviation Logistics has partnered with Viva Energy to use the fuel, a blend of 91 per cent Jet A-1 and nine per cent synthetic blending component made from waste and residue feedstocks, in its Air Link and AirMed charter and aeromedical jet fleet. https://bit.ly/409aTUk
