Hi everyone, it's Tony. With Key-Bak today, we're doing something special. We're doing a video conversation about business. Yeah, this is my partner here at Key-Bak. This is Tim Miller. He's our ecommerce marketing manager. I handle sales for 38 States and we thought it'd be cool to just have a conversation regarding business, invite you guys into the conversation. So if you guys have any ideas and want to give us some feedback. You're welcome to do so. Tim, Why don't you introduce yourself there? Yeah, Like Tony said, you know, I'm doing the digital commerce and marketing that entails all kinds of stuff. Sales, digital marketing, working in the online marketplaces. Been doing it for about two decades now, which I think is about the same amount of time we've been doing sales, right? I'm a bit older than you. I have no hair, so I've been doing it a little over two decades for sure. I got the Gray hair. So I don't know what's the age-old debate. Get Gray hair or no hair, I don't know. But yeah, don't worry about that. That's when I was 27 years old. This hair, I mean, it was thinning out so bad I had to just bake it. So this is where I'm at today. So either way, getting back to it, that been doing what I'm doing for about two decades now. Same thing as Tony, right? So right now, we're also in our new studio. About a year ago, we decided that we needed a space. There was an office that was available. So we created this studio, Tim and I hustled out to Home Depot, and we chose some of the background here. I mean, we've got this one plant back here. It's a start. It's nice. It's nice. It's a good start. Yeah, we do product demo videos in here. We do just instruction videos on how to use our products. And so it's been useful so far, definitely. So one of the things that we thought we'd do today is start. By just doing a customer review of our product. So a couple of weeks ago our VP sent us an e-mail, one of our customers, this gentleman by name of David and he wanted to let us know that he had had. His sidekick retractor for 10 years and it just recently broke on him. Apparently he was getting out of his car and it got snagged on his seat belt and he actually broke the metal carabiner at the very top. He was even gracious enough to send a photo of it. And that just really is a testament to a well made product. I mean, to last 10 years. Well, just think about too. We just talked about how we've been. They've been in business or doing business for 20 years, so for half of that time this gentleman had this one single key chain of ours. Well, 10 years and he mentions on his on his e-mail here that he's a maintenance supervisor. That's the thing. There are hundreds of different applications for a retractor. Yeah, all kinds of types. When I first started here at Quebec, I just thought, hey, it's for tea and a badge. And it turns out that we get notified all the time for all kinds of crazy ways that that they're being utilized for. And that's the cool thing about, you know, everything online nowadays too, is you get feedback, you get the reviews, we get to see how people are using our stuff. I mean, people are using our retractors anywhere for their pet supplies. To, you know, working as a restaurant manager and need to maintain keys to, you know, some fishing products all over the place, tools, tethering their tools and making sure that they're close and in reach. I mean, just we get to see people using our tools for all kinds of different applications. Well, you know, one thing that I thought would be cool to do would be to maybe discuss certain aspects of our job. Yeah, like I've mentioned, I'm the territory sales manager here at KeyBank. One thing that we do that not a lot of places do, especially in sales, is we go out and visit our customers. Next week, I'll be taking off to Washington and Oregon, visiting customers, understanding their business and seeing how our products can help them grow their business. Meeting their customers needs sometimes for instance in Oregon and Washington that you have a big lumber and forestry type of industries. Well those are the types of products that are maybe different than industries in Texas that are maybe more oil and gas. So our products kind of have to meet. Their customers needs in each specific area of this country. Yep, Yep. Umm, what about you, Tim? Maybe, uh, some tip on, on ecommerce or marketing. So from an ecommerce or just business perspective, a tip that I would have and things I want to start discussing a little bit more would be building a brand, really focusing on your brand. And I'm not caught talking about, you know, just like the colors or your logo. That's visual identity. That's stuff that, you know, we talked about another time, but the essence of what your company is, what do you do? Why do you exist? You know, why do you serve the people you serve? I know we've talked about it in the past. What promise does your company make to those who will be using your product or service? I mean, it goes beyond just thinking about like what's slapped on a business card or nowadays just on the website, but you know, it has a bunch of different aspects of it. Customer service. How's your customer service agent respond to the people that you're serving? Think about it, you know, your marketing team, your sales team when they go out on the sales calls. Some things we don't think about too is what about our finance team? What about our purchasing team? All those interactions accumulate to build a brand. So the tip would be focused on your brand, build a brand the right way and continue to grow that brand and to be a household name. You used the word promise and I think that that's the the key. If one of your customers were to describe your business, what would they say about it? It's almost like if you're not in the room, what are people saying about your business? And that's it's hard to do because like Tim mentioned, you've got to juggle a lot of things and you've got to build a culture within your organization where everybody's kind of on the same page with that. And that's kind of. One of the cool things about Key Back is that we're an employee owned company that allows us the opportunity to even have a video like this. Their companies that I've worked for in the past that are large companies, they wouldn't allow a couple of employees to create a video, just some regular guys yeah and talk about their business. Yeah, there would be two. There'd be a huge microscope on that. But the way that things are here at key Back, we're an employee owned company and we've been doing this business keep's been around since 1948. So that's. Six years, 76 years, 76 years. Yeah, that's a long time That's that's longer than I've been alive yeah. My mom's 47 solo shoot, she's 77 years old. Knock on wood, knock 42. Yeah. So guys, every video that we do, we're hoping to introduce you to different aspects of sales, marketing, key back, and that way you can learn a little bit about business from a completely different. Perspective and hopefully you could take some of the information and use it in your own business. Yep, that's the no Tony said it all said it very well.
