Wanna launch a product on Amazon that you have a better chance of winning on? Focus on keyword depth. Take baseball bats to illustrate the concept Hundreds of options. Pretty much every bat is basically the same. The same bat can be used by a left-handed or right-handed batter. But what if you took one of those bats and labeled it for lefties. Instantly you stand out among a sea of sameness. All the lefties are drawn to your bat. Plus, if the search volume is there (doesn’t have to be a lot), you may have an easy win. There’s less competition which equals higher conversion. ?? Let’s say 1,000 people search for "left-handed baseball bats" each month. Compare that to 100,000 for "baseball bats." It’s your chance to own that niche. A 30% conversion? That's 300 sales a month. ?? Stick to "baseball bats"? Maybe 50 sales, if you're good. Next time you are at the drug store, check the ingredients for Excedrin Migraine and several other versions. They are the same, maybe just slightly different mgs. Same product marketed differently to address the needs and desires of a niche. It’s more common in many industries than you realize.
