As I prepared for our morning Huddle and the need for a morale booster, I decided to compare my very first weekly report with my most recent one. I am truly amazed at the progress we have made in just 4 months through teamwork and dedication. Farrington is known to be one of the most challenging properties in Atlanta. However, instead of being intimidated, we were motivated to excel and improve. Our achievements include: - Increasing our pre-lease numbers by 4%, now at an impressive 98%. - Improving our 30-Day trend by almost 5%, now over 95%. - Enhancing our 60-Day trend by nearly 6%, now over 95%. - Increasing our renewal turn by 11%. - Improving our make-ready turn by 15%. - Increasing our Tour to App ratio by 25%. - Most notably, decreasing delinquency by a remarkable 44%. These accomplishments, in light of the challenges we faced at Farrington, are truly remarkable. If teamwork were a property, it would be Farrington Midtown! After a couple of (mostly) restful weeks at home, I sturdy myself to face an old enemy... Texas. There is a lot about this state to ponder. In fact, if it was its own country, it would be the 39th biggest nation in the world; it's even larger than the UK. I-10 from El Paso to Orange is nearly 900 miles across. I've always said that I can get along with Texans as long as they're not in bars or in cars. This week, I will share some of my observations about Texas, both good and bad. Mostly bad... Normally, when I drive down into the state, I make a stop at In-N-Out Burger in the City of Denton. For whatever reason (I must be getting sick!) I wasn't in the mood for my customary Double Double with onions, so I decided to go to Buc-ee's, Ltd. for a sliced brisket sandwich. If you've never been to a Buc-ees before, it is kind of like a shopping mall crashed into an amusement park. And they have something called Beaver Nuggets as well. Don't ask, don't tell... It is a decent enough sandwich, though in a state that prides itself on its barbecue (which is a significant downgrade from Oklahoma's BBQ!??????) it is meh, to say the least. It is also just shy of $9! So now, as I prepare myself for a week in Texas working at nursing homes around the state, I ponder the point of my existence and dream of the good barbecue to the north of me. But at least I'll be able to troll Texans, which is one of my favorite ways to pass the time. #socialnetworking #humanresources #sales #employeebenefits #oklahoma #texas #bbq
