Yesterday I hosted my friends and fellow entrepreneurs Alyssa Kerbel, founder of Kind Human Club (and mini mioche) and Catherine Choi, founder of SoYoung Inc. for a live, virtual chat as part of the 50th episode celebrations for my podcast, Be All You Are. Here are some highlights from our conversation in front of a live audience: ? ? INTENTIONS ARE POWERFUL.?When we set an intention we not only begin making choices that lead us towards that intention, but the universe places opportunities and challenges in front of us that we may not have even considered otherwise. (Like Catherine saying YES to climbing a 20K foot volcano!) ? ? CHOOSE YOUR HARD.?Human-ing is hard. We have a lot of highs and lows to navigate and as the sandwich generation, we experience a lot of pressures from all sides. That's why it's so important to choose your hard. Are you choosing a path that leads you to greater growth, expansion, fulfilment? Or one that feels safe but that keeps you small? Either path can be hard, but we get to choose. ? ? NOTICE THE MAGICAL MOMENTS. ?It is easy to focus on things that are not going our way. But when we are able to notice all the magical moments, serendipities and spontaneous joy we experience, we realise that there is beauty even in the difficult. I created my podcast to create a space to have authentic, vulnerable conversations about stepping into all you are, in midlife and beyond. (Raise your hand if that might be going on in your business!) But more than that, since we’ve been trained to direct our best skill and energy to others, oftentimes it’s hard to know what to say, even if we did show up and make our voice heard. My friend Kim Rittberg felt the same way. Kim is a former producer for Netflix, US Weekly, People, and others. When she started her business, she had been behind the camera for so long that she was afraid to get in front of it. But now she's turned the camera on herself in her business helping women business owners start to show up on video, and I’ve invited her to the podcast to share how you can do it too! In this episode, Kim will share how she went from being behind the camera to feeling comfortable being in front of it.
