You don’t need to be great to begin. But you need to begin to become great. 7 powerful methods to get started (today): 1) 90/90/1 Rule ? For 90 days, dedicate 90 minutes to your no. 1 goal. ? Consistency compounds into remarkable results. 2) Eat The Frog ? Tackle your hardest task first thing in the morning. ? This builds momentum for the rest of the day. 3) 5-Minute Rule ? Commit to just 5 minutes on a tough task. ? You can stop after 5 minutes (spoiler: you won’t). 4) Pomodoro Technique ? Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. ? Complete 4 cycles, then enjoy a longer pause. 5) 2-Minute Rule ? If a task takes less than 2 minutes, do it right away. ? Small wins build momentum and avoid getting stuck. 6) Four Quarters Method ? Divide the day: morning, midday, afternoon, evening. ? You'll get four chances to start, not just one. 7) Seinfeld Technique ? Mark each day that you did a specific habit or task. ? After 2 days, you just have to not break your streak. - - - - The first step is always the hardest. Get started today and watch your life transform. I used the Seinfeld Method for the first time to build habits this year and found it to be the most effective method I've ever used. There is an app called "Don't Break the Chain!" that boils this method down to a very easy-to-use interface. I highly recommend it. I also use the 2-Minute Rule for short tasks, but I expand it to 5 minutes, and it's not because it provides small wins, though that's nice too. It's primarily because that's how long it takes to organize/schedule a task for the future, if I choose not to do it immediately. It's more about efficiency than the win.
Action beats hesitation every time—just start now
You don't wait to become great to start. You start to eventually become great.
As an introvert, I find the 90/90/1 Rule really effective. Dedicating focused time to my main goal every day creates consistent progress without feeling overwhelmed.
What I find effective in building a meaningful work life is building habits. These tips help in setting up consistent habits which help with the desired results.
Love these actionable methods! ??—The Pomodoro Technique has been a real boost for staying productive while avoiding burnout. A little break goes a long way in keeping energy up! Dr. Christian Poensgen
Life is a gym. Everyone starts clunky but the more reps over time the better, faster and stronger you get!
Nice. Love the graphics. The Seinfeld Technique is great for building habits. Just start.

2 天前For the Seinfeld Technique, I use the Streaks app. I love seeing the numbers go up each day. Some of the things I use it for no longer need to be tracked, but I track them anyway because seeing the numbers is so motivating: run at least one mile (2,751 days), push ups (308), cold shower (445), squatting for my hip flexors (404), farmer's carries (157), grounding (439), 15,000 steps (375 days). Whatever method you use to get yourself to do things, don't keep it your head. We tend to tell our selves stories (lies? ??).
