Decide whether you fry the burger in the kitchen or on the grill. What texture and flavors do you want to feel when you eat your burger? When and what do you flavor the burger with? Source | Southern Living Photo ANTONIS ACHILLEOS Food Stylist: RUTH BLACKBURN Whether you're whipping something up for the next potluck or planning a dinner ??party??, you'll always be able to count on these classic Southern recipes for making mealtime feel more like home??. It's time for some comfort cooking, y'all! Just as the name implies, once you make these little bites you'll never stop dreaming about them. These are also just the thing to make ahead because they freeze like a dream. INGREDIENTS: 2 cups finely grated sharp Cheddar cheese (freshly grated from a block) 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 2 Tbsp. heavy cream 1 large egg 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. table salt 1/2 tsp. dry mustard Ground red pepper or hot sauce to taste 1 (16-oz.) pkg. firm white sandwich bread slices (such as Pepperidge Farm White Sandwich Bread) DIRECTIONS: Prepare cheese mixture: Preheat oven to 375°F. Beat cheese and butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until blended. Beat in heavy cream and next 5 ingredients. Prepare bread squares: Cut crusts from white bread slices; cut each bread slice into 4 squares. Spread cheese mixture on half of bread squares (about 1 tsp. per square); top each with 1 remaining square. Spread remaining cheese mixture over top and sides of sandwiches. Place sandwiches, 1 inch apart, on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake: Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.??
