+++++++++++++++++++++ CAPTAIN’S LOG, San Diego date 10232024: After extensive exploration of the area, I found that unlike my time in Virginia, I couldn’t seem to discover any local life forms willing to engage in the ever-growing-in-popularity and noble sport of pickleball. Desperation mounted… until I had an epiphany: I’m the commanding officer, I can just order them to play. And so, a rigorous command physical training session was held on the pickleball court. The crew valiantly participated (because, well, they had no choice. And, see! they don’t look like they’re being held hostage at all!) Unfortunately, I still can’t order them to like me. Conclusion: Authority has its limits. But, it felt great to be back on the court again. +++++++++++++++++++++
