My journey from the United States Coast Guard to software engineering is a tale of resilience, adaptation, and a commitment to diversity. As a Machinery Technician, I thrived in high-stakes situations, solving problems and saving lives. An injury shifted my career path but not my determination. Transitioning to software engineering through Hack Reactor's bootcamp, I discovered a new avenue for my problem-solving skills, creativity, and passion for teamwork.
