My journey from the United States Coast Guard to software engineering is a tale of resilience, adaptation, and a commitment to diversity. As a Machinery Technician, I thrived in high-stakes situations, solving problems and saving lives. An injury shifted my career path but not my determination. Transitioning to software engineering through Hack Reactor's bootcamp, I discovered a new avenue for my problem-solving skills, creativity, and passion for teamwork. Putting in countless hours to further my knowledge and showcase my skills. In this new field, my mission extends beyond coding. I aim to break barriers and foster inclusivity, drawing from my experiences as a woman in traditionally male-dominated spaces. My goal is to contribute to a tech industry where diversity is not just valued but celebrated, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to succeed and be heard. As I look for my next role, I seek a company aligned with my values, one that believes in making a difference through technology and diversity. My unique background equips me to bring fresh perspectives, resilience, and a collaborative spirit to any team, continuing to serve as a role model for women in STEM. #softwareengineering #devjobs #TechJobs #womanintech #womeninstem #jobhunt #openforopportunities #letsconnect
