Why is Padel the UK's fastest growing Sport and Tennis appears to be in decline? ?? Let's start with a little context?? After 6 weeks of Padel, I played Tennis over the weekend... I've played tennis for 30 years with a decent technical and physical skill level. It's traditional that me and a few friends play on Wimbledon Men's Final day - we battled for 3 hours in drizzle which proved challenging conditions. I'm certainly no stranger to court size, service elements, and length of match, however... I found it hard to adjust and the points were often short and not as 'fun' as they were in the Padel matches I've played recently. As we sat watching the Wimbledon Final, our bodies and egos a little battered and bruised I started to reflect... What are the key differences between Padel and Tennis? ?? Padel is typically easier for beginners to pick up than tennis, as it requires less technical and physical prowess. ?? Padel offers a more social and doubles-centric experience. ?? Padel is often more inclusive and brings the local community together. ?? Padel can be played in 1 hour, is a quicker game-style and the ball is in play for longer. If you are keen to find out what Padel is all about and why it's becoming so popular, come down to Soul Padel at Decathlon, Stockport ?? #SoulPadel #Padel #DecathlonStockport #PadelClub #PadelCommunty #PadelLife #Sports #Fitness

There's a new indoor Padel complex opening down the road and I'm buzzing about it! I've only played Padel a few times → I’m hooked! Having always been an attacking tennis player, I’ve noticed that this carries over really well into Padel. The aggressive volleys, fast reaction shots, and quick positioning are very similar - yet the dynamic style of Padel adds an entirely different layer of strategy. Padel is incredibly technical. You’ve got to read your opponents, control the pace, and constantly adapt to the ball bouncing off the walls. It's a game that challenges your reaction time, coordination, and overall court awareness. But it’s not just about the skills → it’s also about the FUN. The social side of Padel is awesome. A bit like recreational doubles in tennis, but faster-paced with lots of laughter. It’s a sport that’s as much about enjoyment as it is about competition. For anyone new to Padel, here are some tips from a fellow newbie: → Don’t overhit → control is key!? → Anticipate the wall → use it to your advantage.? → Communication with your partner is everything.? → Most of all, enjoy it → it’s a blast! Since I’ve started playing, I’ve come to better understand the specific shapes and movements required on the court. What do you love about Padel? Share your thoughts and tips in the comments! If you’re interested in developing your game off-court, drop me a message. I’m looking to pick up some off-court conditioning coaching work to help Padel players boost their performance! #Padel #PadelLife #RacketSportsFitness #PadelConditioning #FitnessForPadel #OffCourtTraining

Let me tell you about my new favorite sport... My dad was in the tennis business, so I played tennis since I was three years old. I've played squash, pickle, ping pong, and a lot of paddle. With all those racquets in my hand for all those years, I never played anything like this. This combines skill, speed, balance, coordination, and patience to whatever degree you have those things. You can hit any shot from anywhere and recover from anywhere once you know how to play. There are angles, precision, power, and a lot of finesse. Anyone can play at any age and level and have a blast... like pickleball. It is terrific exercise at any level. If you've played other racquet sports you will be a quick study with a vast runway to improve. If you like another racquet sport, you will Love this! You won't be alone in your passion... over 30 million people play this sport around the world. In Spain there are more people playing this than tennis. Beyond all these great things, the best thing about this sport is that it is all about hanging with your friends or family, not taking their head off. It is social and fun, and that takes precedence. My new favorite sport is Padel! https://lnkd.in/ej9SB--B #padel #padelusa #fun #fitness #community Alan Flatt Ben Nichols

Is padel just mini tennis? Does it really require less skill? Time to bust some myths! ?? Padel is a sport that often falls victim to misconceptions. Let’s clear up three common myths: Myth 1: "Padel is easier than tennis!" While padel courts are smaller and the scoring is similar, padel requires a different set of skills. The walls play a significant role, adding an extra layer of strategy. The enclosed space demands quick reflexes and smart positioning, making it uniquely challenging. Myth 2: "You don’t need any specific skills." Contrary to this belief, padel requires coordination, quick decision-making, and precision. Successful players excel not just in physical agility but in tactical thinking. Mastering the angles and understanding how the ball behaves off the walls is crucial. Myth 3: "Padel is only for young players." This couldn’t be further from the truth! Padel is incredibly inclusive, attracting players of all ages. The smaller court size and less emphasis on power over technique make it accessible and enjoyable for seniors and juniors alike. So... Padel is a distinct, dynamic sport that challenges players in unique ways. ?? At Padel Courts Deluxe, we celebrate the complexity and the inclusiveness of padel, providing courts that cater to everyone from beginners to seasoned pros. ?? www.padelcourtsdeluxe.es ?? Throughout my life, I’ve been dedicated to keeping the ball within the 78ft by 36ft boundaries of a tennis court. What started as a focus on competition turned into a focus of serving community through these lines. For the past three years, my focus remaining on serving, has been introduced to a smaller, more geometrically intriguing court: 66ft by 33ft with glass panels and a cage that surround it. Much like life, in padel, the ball can slip past you. You might think it’s gone but in padel, like life sometimes, there’s always a chance to get back in play. It can come from unexpected angles, just as life’s challenges can, yet with concentration, you can still recover and use the side glass walls to keep yourself in it, Padel like life is in not linear. Padel, which has captivated and has had my mind literally feel like it is bending, as my mind did in college studying the Buddhist concept of “emptiness,” offers profound life analogies and experiences, similar to tennis. While I’ll always cherish tennis and continue to promote, build, and grow tennis for all, often hailed as the King of Racquet Sports, it’s essential to remember that a Queen is just as crucial, for it is the Queens who bring vitality to the world. Padel, globally has emerged as the Queen and appears to be creating its own destiny. We have much more to bring to the Padel world. Keep an eye out for Taktika. We are here to bring Padel to All. We’re so fortunate to play, develop, and promote this game. Taktika Padel San Diego Stingrays Gabriel Perez Krieb The Padel State ?? Robbie Hill #padel #padeladdicts #usapadel #paquitonavarroacademy
