Latest Researcher’s Dream! "The power of mathematics: applying the fundamentals to thinking" We hear about the importance of #mathematics in our latest article, interviewing Toshiya Shimizu from the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Through mathematics, Toshiya developed the habit of thoroughly examining the principles and foundations of things, and learned the importance of solidly understanding the basics. During his time in graduate school, he was torn between continuing his research in pure mathematics or pursuing a path where he could use mathematics to create technologies that benefit society. It was during this time that Toshiya encountered #blockchain, and after joining Fujitsu, he contributed to the development of open-source software platforms, an experience he considers invaluable. Currently, Toshiya is working on developing technologies to improve the trustworthiness of #AI, ensuring that users can utilize AI with confidence. A friend of mine recently asked me if he should take a course to learn trading for $2,000. The reality is that no great trader share their secret openly because that’s their edge and these courses are often mediocre and basic at best. My recommendation was to go to ChatGPT to spend a few hours per day instead. This goes for really all education these days, MBAs, Masters and perhaps aside from hardcore PhDs in certain fields like physics / biology / robotics / computer science, many of the soft skills are better learned in real life settings (work) or really from spending time asking questions on ChatGPT / Google. Do we agree that most traditional education is obsolete now that we have effectively customized / personalized education for all with AI? Especially crypto - almost everything is open source and AI is especially great at finding open source information. Let me know your thoughts! #crypto #ai #education #tech #blockchain
