That is such great news! T2Ds need support, too (like us T1Ds). As a participant in the pioneering DCCT and EDIC trials, I've witnessed the evolution of insulin pumps from their early models, which have been crucial in navigating pregnancies and a demanding career. This is fantastic! Thank you Tandem. Adding to Omnipod as an option for type 2. Why is there a need to differentiate diabetes type? Diabetes is hard enough, anyone on insulin should have access to whatever insulin pump works best for them. Every pump offers something just a little different that meets a specific need for an individual. We all deserve for life to be as simple as possible. I am thrilled that I have one less hurdle to jump to offer my T2 patients!!
