Excited to share that Kalder has raised a $7M seed round led by Javelin Venture Partners bringing our total funding to $10.5M?? ?? 2 years ago, our journey began when I noticed top brands like United Airlines, American Express, and Starbucks were running rewards programs like banks—earning more revenue from rewards programs than their core businesses. Now, Kalder's fintech rewards platform democratizes this model, enabling virtually any brand—from national grocers to soccer teams—to reward and monetize their customers. But now, time for a personal story… 7 years ago, I came to the U.S. from Turkey to study at UC Berkeley. I had no tech network—just a head full of ideas and a desire to solve problems. Entrepreneurship, for me, started selfishly at age 15. As a soccer player who loved coding—both unconventional paths for women where I grew up—I created "Girls on the Field Academy" because I needed a space for myself. Within a year, we held 40+ games and camps across Turkey. I was solving my own problem, and it turned out to be a real problem others faced too. That problem-solving instinct followed me to the U.S. In 2018, I watched a currency crisis wipe out a nation’s savings overnight, teaching me more about financial systems than any textbook ever could. That moment sparked my fintech obsession. From building wallets at Celo Foundation to launching Robinhood’s metal card program, I kept seeing the same pattern: Great financial products democratize access and create freedom. That’s what I set out to build with Kalder. This vision isn’t hypothetical. Kalder’s average customer boasts 50,000 linked accounts to drive an additional $450,000 in monthly revenue. This funding isn’t just capital—it’s validation of our mission to democratize financial services and make them accessible to every brand and community.
