Associate Engineer | Electronics Design at Collins Aerospace | Communication Focal @ an SBU, Collins | VIT'22

Today, Collins Aerospace had the incredible honor of welcoming Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to travel to space. He shared insights on life in space, astronaut training, stunning views of Earth, and the surreal experience of witnessing sunrises and sunsets every 45 minutes. Truly inspiring! ???? Today’s session with Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma was out of this world—literally! ?? Here are some stellar takeaways: - ???????? ???????? ????????????: Space makes you realize just how vulnerable we are. Let's care for Mother Earth! - ???????? ??????????: Keep a “lessons learned” repository. Mistakes are stepping stones to better missions. - ?????????????? ???? ??????: If you can’t control the situation, don’t sweat it—just fix it. - ???????? ????. ??????????????????????: "I was the 1st Indian in space but the 128th human—and 127 came back. Odds were good!" - ?????????????? ?????? ??????????????: Successful missions happen when you trust the system. - ?????????????????????????? ?????? ????????: Conquering Mars? Only possible with global teamwork by incorporating diverse cultures and brilliant minds from across the globe. - ??????'?? ?????????????????????? ??????????: Life on Mars? Expensive, artificial, and not like the movies. - ???????? ??????????????????: Keep It Simple Stupid. Complex doesn’t mean better. - ?????????????????? ??????????????: Systems don’t have to be fancy—they need to work and make sense. A session packed with lessons, humor, and inspiration. Space may be infinite, but the wisdom shared today was priceless! ?? #CollinsAerospace #RTX #Aerospace #Innovation #RakeshSharma #WingCommander

Truly inspiring talk with valuable suggestions to mankind by great Rakesh Sharma, lot of take aways. Very humble by saying 1st Indian but 128th human with positive personality. Highly patriotic, still I remember, then PM Indira Gandhi asked him how India looked from space, he told Sare Jahan Se Accha. Well captured dear Jyotica ??
