Seven Great reasons ShockTamer are the first choice for owners, trainers, and farriers for over 25 years. 1. Impact Absorption and Cushioning ShockTamer pads are engineered to absorb and distribute the impact of each step a horse takes. This is crucial because horses' legs endure significant stress, particularly when they are working on hard surfaces or performing high-impact activities like jumping, racing, or training. 2. Prevention of Injuries By absorbing shock and reducing the stress on the horse's legs, ShockTamer pads play a significant role in preventing injuries. The cushioning helps lower the risk of overuse injuries such as tendon and ligament strain, as well as reducing the chance of hoof-related injuries. This protection can prolong a horse's career, as it helps maintain their overall leg health. 3. Enhanced Performance For trainers and owners, ensuring optimal performance from their horses is a top priority. ShockTamer pads contribute to better performance by improving the horse's comfort level. This is particularly important for high-performance horses involved in competitive sports, as it can enhance their stride and overall movement. 4. Versatility Across Disciplines ShockTamer pads are used in a wide range of equestrian disciplines, including racing, eventing, show jumping, dressage, and everyday riding. Their versatility makes them a great option for trainers who work with horses across different sports or disciplines, as the pads help address various needs like comfort, impact absorption, and joint protection. 5. Durability ShockTamer pads are designed to withstand the rigors of intensive work. Made with durable materials, they hold up well over time and through repetitive use. This longevity makes them a cost-effective option in the long run, as they do not need to be replaced frequently. 6. Hoof Health Maintenance By reducing the shock and impact that horses experience during training or competition, ShockTamer pads can also help maintain better hoof health. 7. Improved Recovery Horses recovering from injuries or surgeries can benefit from ShockTamer pads as they provide gentle support and cushioning. These pads help with reducing soreness and accelerating the healing process by minimizing further stress on the horse's legs while they recover. Trainer Tuesday: When a horse, rider, or both rush down a line, how do you help them? "For other riders, counting backwards as you jump into a line can also slow down an anxious mind. Instead of counting, 'land, one, two, three, four, five,' try reversing it. 'Land, five, four, three, two, one.' This is particularly useful if someone feels rushed to get out of the lines. You always want your horse to take his time jumping the oxer out of the line. But a rider’s busy mind can result in a horse rushing out of the line—getting a little flat and just skimming over the oxer. Doing the correct number of strides and finding the distance are only the basics of jumping. At the next level in your riding, it’s about how well you did all those things. Counting backwards is one of our favorite ways to get riders to slow down their minds while cantering down the lines." -Traci and Carleton Brooks https://lnkd.in/gx6m-cfn

?Myth: Being afraid means you're not cut out for horse riding. ?Fact: Fear is a natural response and doesn't reflect your ability or potential as a rider. Many successful riders have overcome fear through proper training and mindset work. I heard so many times, just sell the horses and do something else. It was hard to hear others not supporting me on my journey to courage. Horses are my passion. Helping others overcome their fear is my passion! #anxietysupport?#ridingfear?#horseriding?#horsebackriding?#overcomefear?#fear2courage?#RideWithConfidence?#HealthForHorseLovers

The best thing my parents did for me was to introduce me to the horses when I was just 3. Grateful to my kids for reintroducing me to the beautiful creature who taught me how to love and prepared me for the real world. Want to embrace humility and empathy together try riding a horse in a forest. Here is what horseback riding has taught me which have nothing to do with riding. 1. Riding horses teaches you to pick yourself back up (sometimes literally) and keep going ahead. 2. Multitasking. You have to control your posture, hands and the reins, legs movement and read your horse cues all at the same time. 3. Adaptability. Each horse is different. The horse doesn’t adapt to you. You understand your horse and adapt to him/her. 4. To be humble. You can think you know all about horse riding but once you get on a horse it’s all about that day, that moment. I have fallen off the horse at the best moments when I thought I was in my best form and in full control. You approach a horse with trust and he responds with openness. 5. Be authentic. Horse doesn’t care about yesterday or tomorrow it’s about the moment. If you are 100% yourself in the moment they will connect with you and listen to you.

While horse riding may be a hobby for some, it is also a lifestyle. Many hours get spent on and with the horse, so it is important that it is fun! After all, blood, sweat and tears will get put into this hobby, so you need to be enjoying it. Otherwise, what is the point? So before planning anything with yourself, ask yourself: do I find this fun? Only you can answer that question. What others may consider to be fun, could be your idea of a nightmare. But by choosing to do something that you enjoy, you will likely be much happier, and more confident. Confidence falls down to knowing what you enjoy. The more you enjoy something, the more confident you will be. #ithastobefun #ridermindset
