We’re all humans, so hiring a Human Resources Manager should be easy, right? ?? If nothing else, it’s easy to hire THE WRONG person for this crucial role. Here is an exhaustive list of considerations for a successful HR Manager hire: ?? Is this a solo contributor or managing a department? If solo, has your candidate carried an entire department solo previously? ?? Do you need someone who’s a strategic ally to the executive team? Data and finance driven? Entrepreneurial? Or will a Steady Eddy preserving the status quo suffice? ?? Do they have experience relevant to your workforce and workplace? If not, are you willing to risk letting them figure out if they’re cut out for the manufacturing environment, dealing with construction unions, etc.? ?? What’s your headcount and has the candidate managed similar numbers? ?? Taboo tasks? Some HR folks despise running payroll. Others dislike recruiting. Some feel party planning is below them. I [NEVER] thought finding a position with the qualifications and experience I have in my career space would be so difficult. Granted, I haven’t had to job search for well over a year- but even then, it wasn’t as grueling as it seems to be now. With that said, allow me to introduce myself again- for those of you that are new to my network! ?? ??I am a Sr. Human Resources professional with 12 years of experience in the Sr. HR space. As a former CHRO, I have led teams of 15-700 people in any given position, and I have completely transformed HR departments and workplace culture wherever I place my foot in a door. ??I have a decade of experience in leading and operating the full-employee life cycle, and I firmly believe in providing people with as many tools and resources as possible to drive them toward their personal and professional success goals. ??Human Resources is not just a career for me, it is a lifestyle. I lead by example, with compassion and understanding- and I am always willing to roll up my sleeves, get on ground level, and do whatever it takes to provide my team with the BEST experience possible. ??Sometimes, that doesn’t always look like Onboarding, HRIS instruction, or Talent Acquisition. Sometimes that looks like being a good listener, helping an employee navigate the grief of a lost loved one, or lending a helping hand to a team member in need of support and direction. ??I have worked remotely from my home office in high-volume Sr. HR positions for 8 years consecutively, and the results I have provided for my former companies have been astronomical. ??I can accurately and efficiently handle just about every HRIS program known to man. I am proficient in onboarding, offboarding, FMLA, federal classification, workers compensation, corporate mentoring, leadership, performance management, employee relations, high-volume talent acquisition, problem solving, multi-state payroll, office management, employee verification, and so much more. ??In my next position, I hope to find a company that I can grow with. I value tenure, as longevity is of the utmost importance to me.
