I'm confused. When you see brands like UGG and people wearing their boots and apparel on the streets, you do not really know the reality of their business. I purchased a UGG sweatshirt a while ago and enjoy it very much. It's quite amazing to learn about the story of the two brands UGG and UGG Since 1974. You might think that UGG Since 1974 is this large corporation of luxury products, where in reality it's an Aussie family owned business of 3 generation fighting a law suit by a large American corporation for almost 10 years now. However, there's another UGG which is a large corporations owned by Deckers with $3b of annual sales. In that lawsuit, UGG Since 1974 will need to have a different brand "Since 1974" when they ship outside of Australia, but will keep their UGG Since 1974 brand when doing sales locally. In the end the people that get hurt the most of those kind of stories are customers - there is lack of transparency, confusion and customer choice. Building businesses is hard, family businesses are tough, and working against large corporation is tough as well. Now...
