The following represents my personal perspective and in no way meant to represent that of my employer or affiliates: At first, concerned about what people on this business platform might think, and my career, I was a little hesitant to repost this- since as an Assistant Professor of Graduate Human Anatomy & Physiology, I was previously cancelled in 2021 by the liberals in West Palm Beach for opposing the ‘covid’ narrative. They cared nothing about me or my family. Their discrimination is ongoing. But, you know what…now more than ever, made clearer than ever by the events this past weekend, we all need to stand up & fight against the current sham administration’s moral decadence & attack on everyone’s Constitutional rights- freedom of speech, firmly held beliefs & freedom to bear arms. This attack is most evident by the Biden administration’s attempted use of fear & public health mandates during the ‘plandemic’ to acquire political power. Its only real platforms are killing babies & crotch mutilation- which contribute to billion dollar fetal tissue/organ sales industries & sex change research. Look it up. Undoubtedly people who value these things above all else will continue to support Biden’s inability to read a teleprompter or find his way off stage. People who know me know I love everyone, and what is said is said out of love, and truth over emotion. I also have no tolerance for injustice or bull-shit. Thank you Jesus for your discernment. Thank you President Donald Trump for your courage, strength & inspiration. Sorry if this repost causes any flare up of ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ symptoms in any of the readers. ?????????????? Musical Moments: Auld Lang Syne...Happy New Year ?? Did you know that Auld Lang Syne, which was first written down by Robert Burns, originally ended Scotland's Hogmanay celebration marking the last day of each year? The poem was a traditional one that are really existed. It was sung at the stroke of midnight to transition to the new year. I knew nothing about this until 2 years ago. My Ancestry DNA results revealed that I am descended from a man from Scotland's Black Isle who migrated to Jamaica. I have been writing a novel inspired by his story. Originally, I wanted to feature a Christmas celebration in Scotland and later contrast it with a Jamaican Christmas. Through my research, I learned that Christmas was not even a public holiday in Scotland until 1958. "Even after Charles II was restored to the throne, celebrating Christmas was frowned upon in Scotland for a long time – it wasn't until 1958 that 25 December became a Scottish public holiday." SOURCE: National Trust for Scotland What did people in Scotland celebrate instead? Hogmanay I had never heard of Hogmanay. "Christmas and New Year used to be celebrated as part of a longer yule period in Scotland. But Christmas feasting was strongly frowned upon after the Reformation, and the festivities became focused instead on Hogmanay." "Scotland still enjoys two public holidays at New Year, compared to only one in the rest of the UK. Some Hogmanay customs also continue to this day, such as the belief that a clean house is necessary to bring in the New Year. When open fires were common, the ashes were cleared and a new fire was laid. And then there’s ‘first footing’: the first person to enter a house after midnight is thought to bring good luck (so long as they bring gifts of coal, whisky and shortbread!)."
