It seems like most of the conversations I see on LinkedIn about AI + marketing are about how the tech will change things FOR marketers doing the ‘making’ but what about how AI will change things for the people being marketed TO on the other end? Below are some thoughts but would love to hear your pushes and builds! 1?? More Special + More Susceptible: AI is going to take hyper personalization to another level and our sense of self- importance as well as our expectations are going to go higher with it. We all want to feel special but is flattery and hacking our emotions going to erode whatever self control we have left as consumers? 2?? More Targeted + More Trapped: Messages and stories won’t just be more personalized but more reactive and reflective of the moments they meet us in. Personalized precision is great but will a 24/7 echo chamber of targeted interactions and experiences, push us further into bubbles with singular views and ways of engaging with the world? 3?? More Conversational + Less Connected: Influencers, chatbots, customer service reps and device assistants that we interact with are going to be indecipherable from humans. We want more seamless interactions but if easy human-like interaction (that isn't actually human) becomes more prevalent and our preferred option over real human interactions, our emotional intelligence is going to have to keep pace ... and this may have an impact on how we do interact with real humans in the real world! 4?? This influx of messages can lead to message overcrowding and potentially deter users from actively engaging in networking activities on the platform. My suggestion focuses on addressing this issue by proposing a mechanism to manage ads and offers that users do not respond to or find uninteresting. Specifically, I recommend exploring the possibility of allowing these messages to disappear after a certain period if no user action is taken. Additionally, it would be valuable to consider empowering users or leveraging AI to customize their preferences regarding these messages. I believe implementing such a feature could streamline user experiences, reduce message overload, and enhance the overall quality of interactions on the platform. In the not-so-distant future, it will be very hard to tell the difference Here's what this means for your business and video marketing efforts: 1.) AI influencers will be a thing Bet on it. But not the boring AI avatar of the lazy CEO who doesn't want to make videos. It will be the well thought out, creative, AI personalities that marketing pros spent time developing and crafting a story around. 2.) You need to get good at producing a certain style of video… asap And that is the REAL, behind the scenes, authentic conversations, (non-scripted) videos. Because these will become more in demand and valuable. Why? Because literally EVERYONE will be able to record a “Video” in their office with a script. But showing you in a live meeting, or on stage, or having a convo with a employee that brings your customers value or adding edutainment to your videos--- that’s not so easy to do in AI avatars 3.)
