Let's talk about the difference between HPS lights and LED lights. LED lights are more efficient than HPS lights with efficiencies nowadays anywhere from the high 2.8 and above, even above 3.0 now. This means that you can get a lot of light out for the power that you put in as compared to an HTTPS which even the most efficient dual ended HPS lights are below 2.0 efficacy if you have a power limitation because the efficacy is much higher. With LED's, you want to go with LEDs over HTTPS to get higher light intensities on your grow canopy. The other benefit to LEDs versus HPS are the spectrum choices. With LEDs, a lot of manufacturers, including jump lights, offer many spectrum. So this means that depending on your plant type or phase of growth, you can choose the appropriate spectrum for your plants. Whereas in HPS there's very low visibility CRI and you only have one choice of lighting spectrum. Which is mainly amber. That's not the best for growing plants.
