But don’t get caught in the “jack of all trades” trap—instead, become a master of something valuable. ? ?? How to Choose Your Specialty: ? Identify Needs: Look around. Is there a critical area where expertise is lacking? Passion Matters: Consider what tech excites you. Passion fuels expertise. Business Impact: Where can your skills add real value? ? ??? My Story: ? When I was on the help desk, we had 300 branches, each with at least 4 printers. When a printer hiccupped, sales suffered. I dove into printer tech during downtime, cross-training with other teams, and soaked up all the knowledge I could. Soon, I was proudly known as “the printer guy.” Users knew who to call by name when a printer went down, and that recognition catapulted me from help desk to PC Support. ? It’s the ability to dissect complex info and apply it practically that counts. I’ve got a soldering iron now, but hey, the lighter method did the trick too—soot aside. This is the secret sauce behind my self-taught car, washer, and dryer repairs. My CV might not scream ‘pro,’ in electronics engineering but it’s my unique approach to problem-solving that really stands out. ?? ???????? ???????? ???????? ?????????????? ???????????????? Like when my partner lost her Groupon login. No password, no reset email, and support was too slow for our urgent dinner plans. She’s tech-savvy, tried all the usual fixes—nothing. But I wasn’t about to let this spoil our day. I dove in, asked the right questions, and suggested a clever workaround: tweak the Google account email settings so that it's the same email to login to Google as it is with your Groupon login, then try logging in to Groupon with Google. And just like that, problem solved. Who needs IT when you’ve got a mind that thinks outside the box? ?????????? ?????? ???? ???? ???????????? ???????? It’s not just about Groupon.
