https://lnkd.in/enCshsyk How to Develop a Successful Hospital at Home Program; Hospital-at-Home (HaH) has the potential to reduce inpatient/ED congestion and generate double digit EBIDTA margins. But while highly successful abroad, the truth is that few health systems have achieved success in the US. My good friend and Geisinger colleague Ronald Paulus, MD is moderating a Webinar on October first that will share how to overcome the barriers to launching and scaling an impactful HaH program from national experts who have scaled programs to an ADC of 100+. Interoperability is tough. The industry is making progress, but we're not yet where we need to be. Certified Electronic Health Record Technology ("CEHRT") ensures data is structured in a standard format, which makes it easier to share bidirectionally across platforms. This is foundational to success. The last thing we want to do is put clinicians in the middle of a tug of war between two technology vendors when the interoperability fails. More accountability for making sure this works as expected, and having a CEHRTified EHR (like Elation) will both be crucial to success in this area.
