As we reflect on the month of March, traditionally celebrated as Women's History Month, it's vital to recognize that the legacies of remarkable women, especially those from BIPOC communities, are not confined to any single month. The contributions of these women are woven into the fabric of our daily lives, shaping the society we live in, the freedoms we enjoy, and the innovations that propel us forward. Yet, too often, the stories of these trailblazers remain unsung, their achievements tucked away in the footnotes of history. It is not enough to honor these women with a fleeting acknowledgment; their legacies deserve to be integrated into the mainstream narrative, celebrated and remembered 24/7, for their impact transcends time and is felt in countless ways, every single day. The challenge we face is not merely one of remembrance but of active recognition and amplification. It is up to us—educators, leaders, parents, peers—to ensure that the tales of BIPOC women who have contributed to our collective progress are told and retold. These women, from scientists to activists, from inventors to pioneers in arts and culture, have not only shaped their respective fields but have also paved the way for future generations to dream bigger and reach further. Let us challenge ourselves and others to provide space for these stories, not just in our history books but in our conversations and platforms. By doing so, we acknowledge the undeniable truth that our combined success is built on the diverse and powerful contributions of all individuals, particularly those who have had to overcome the greatest barriers to leave their indelible mark on our world. #womenshistorymonth #ourfacesourvoices

Happy Women’s History Month!????????? During this month, we celebrate the remarkable achievements, contributions, and resilience of women throughout history. From trailblazing scientists and activists to artists, leaders, and everyday heroes, women have shaped our world in countless ways. Let’s honor the women who have broken barriers, challenged norms, and left an indelible mark on society. Their stories inspire us to continue advocating for equality, justice, and progress. Remember, history is not just about the past—it’s also about the present and the future. So let’s continue to uplift and amplify women’s voices, celebrate their achievements, and work toward a more inclusive and equitable world for all. Women's History Month is an annual observance to highlight the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. Celebrated during March in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, corresponding with International Women's Day on March 8, it is observed during October in Canada, corresponding with the celebration of Persons Day on October 18.

I have to fully agree with Mrs Blanchard here. I would also add to this a quote attributed to another amazing person , Maya Angelou - “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.” #selfawareness #personalgrowth #awarenessmatters #beallyoucanbe
March is Women's History Month! No one will be surprised when I say my favorite woman is my wonderful wife of nearly 62 years, Margie Blanchard. Here's a quote she lives by that has helped many people see others in a new light. Think about it!

Women’s History Month should make us stop and think. Sometimes life moves fast and we don’t stop to smell the roses. For us, those roses are recognizing the hard work and sacrifice of generations of women before us, right now and after us. Women’s History Month is especially important for women holding executive positions or owning their own business that simply wouldn’t have been possible even 60 years ago. March is a time to thank trailblazers for giving women everywhere access to new opportunities. Women’s History Month is a reminder that women have always been a force for change and that we have the power to shape the future. It’s also a time to celebrate our collective strength, resilience, and determination. #womenshistorymonth #womenleaders

Join us in celebrating the significant contributions of women to our industry for Women’s History Month in March. This monthlong celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture, and society has been observed annually in the United States since 1987, but began as a local grassroots celebration in California in 1978 as Women's History Week. In 1980, several woman’s groups and historians led by the National Woman’s History Project (now known as the National Women’s History Alliance) successfully lobbied for national recognition, and the same year the first federal proclamation was issued declaring the week of March 8, 1980 as Woman’s History Week. In 1987, another proclamation was passed declaring March Women's History Month. This year's theme is "Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion," recognizing women who understand the need to eliminate bias and discrimination from individuals' lives and institutions. Last but not least, Nancy Maloney, director of insight & strategy, wraps up our series featuring the women at C-K who were on our Women's History Month panel. Nancy on who inspires her: "I admire the many women out there rejecting the scarcity narrative—the dated and unproductive notion that there is only so much space for us and that we must compete with each other for crumbs. I admire women telling our stories and taking up space. Not pretending NOT to be interested in things that are interesting to us. Not pretending to be ok with things that are not ok. I admire all the women who are committed to changing the narrative, changing the game, and ultimately changing the world. One human, one story, one action at a time."

Thanks Aleya Harris, CPCE for your insights and being an absolute force of nature and inspiring action at USC Women's Conference Virtual Mentorship & Networking Session tonight! I had the honor to host a breakout session on one of my favorite topics - NetGiving - fostering meaningful connections and genuine relationships and offering resources, advice, or guidance without expecting immediate transactions in return. There was great vulnerability and generosity in the group. What insights, resources, or words of wisdom can you share? Let's build a supportive community together! - Tomorrow is my last day (involuntary) at work. How do I leave with grace and remark on the next chapter with success? - I’ve been applying to internships and none have accepted me yet, any advice? - I’m a recent grad, and I’m not feeling accomplished at all because despite earning my degree, I haven’t found work, and I’m not sure I’m clear on my career path.? - I’ve been trying to break into the entertainment industry and am hitting dead ends. I’m lacking a network to help.? - I’ve passed The Bar (lawyer) but am feeling lost- is this even the career I’m looking for? #netgiving #collectivewisdom #helpingeachother #generositymatters
It was such a pleasure gaining insights from Aleya Harris, CPCE, at tonight's USC Women's Conference pre-conference virtual session! Thanks to the USC Trojan Women's Network board members who hosted break-out sessions to build connections - Gitanjali Mohindra, Kristin Sedgwick, MCM Ritu Portugal, Esq. & Karin Irani. We look forward to connecting with everyone tomorrow attending USC Women's Conference on campus!
