One of the core pillars of The Garage in Vancouver is Community and Networking. It’s not just important for your career, but also for how you get stuff done. Those connections don’t have to be strictly work-related—they can be fun, too. Last Friday was a great example of that. One of the things I love about the #MicrosoftVancouver site is its diversity, but the thing that brought us together was a shared love of football (no, not American hand egg. Not soccer. Football). Eight teams battled it out for the inaugural MSV Trophy, sponsored by The #MicrosoftGarage, and it was a great day—well, I think it was! Our team, “Murder on Zidane’s Floor,” made it to the semis, but what a final! Down 2-0, Whitecaps staged a dramatic comeback against Dortmund, winning 3-2 with almost the last kick of the game. What a way to wrap up a fantastic day! Thank you Hilda, Andrea and Kyle for turning hope into happen. https://lnkd.in/g_S3H74S #MSV #Microsoft #NotSoccer #Football #Network #KRO #Vancouver

This is great. I missed this. Is there a group that I need to join to get to the next similar events?
What an awesome event! (Community and connection really do make all the difference.) Bringing people together through something as universal as FOOTBALL is a fantastic way to foster team spirit, build relationships, and have some fun along the way. It's inspiring to see how organizations embrace both diversity and shared passions, creating memorable experiences that go beyond the office. Love it! (From a Fulham FC fan!)
