Senior Staff AccountantUnitemp has over 50 years of experience as the leading commercial and industrial HVAC project and service provider in the New Jersey and New York markets. We are looking for a Sr. Staff Accountant to assist Unitemp's Controller with the day-to-day oversight for accounting and treasury operations. This role will also interact routinely with business leaders across all functions and will be a key role in the Accounting team.Responsibilities: Compiles and analyzes financial information, enters journal entries into the general ledger accounts, reconciles account balances and bank statements Maintains complete accounting schedules and work papers Assist with annual budget and ongoing variance analysis When necessary, proactively follows-up with department leaders to obtain information Maintains a focus on accuracy and timeliness in all efforts and communicates effectively with Controller to understand deadlines and prioritization Supports month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes Ensures accounting policies and processes are accurately documented Recommends ways to improve efficiency Assists with annual audit-related requests Qualifications: At least 3-5 years of proven experience as accountant Hands-on experience with ERP software packages MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables Construction industry accounting experience is required BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant is preferred Job Posted by ApplicantProClick to Apply Direct #jobs #jobsnowhiring #jobkash
