Critical thinking is essential when it comes to unpacking the pain that makes forgiveness elusive. Two distinctions that are often linked are -the decision to forgive -and the experience of emotional forgiveness. To explore these high-level concepts, Seth Godin and Christena Cleveland will be joining me July 9 in honor of Global Forgiveness Day. Week 8 has come to an end and here are the updates from this second to last week of the program ?? ?? Heidi Lindvall from Pale blue dot held a workshop about what NOT to do when fundraising. We went through the topics: - emailing, pitching, presentation of yourself and your company, team & organization, and discussions with investors. Some interesting discussions around: - having an external fundraiser or not - being cocky or confident - being conservative or idealistic in your forecasts - taking too much or too little feedback ?? Later in the week, we learned more about Gilion's financial forecasting and insights platform (that is free to use): - what metrics to measure - how to segment cohorts of retention - adding "what if..." scenarios to your forecasts Thank you Elin Clemmedsson and Tina Einsiedler! ?? Finally, we got to listen to the founding story of Boxbollen and the immense growth that Jacob Eriksson and his brother Victor has had with the single product company. We are 10 days away from Expunge Colorado's 7th annual record sealing clinic! It has been 7 years of putting on a record sealing event in Denver, free to the community, where we literally change people's lives for the better. Expunge Colorado's mission is to enable people to move forward from their criminal records. We do this through our 3 pillars of service: education, advocacy and offering pro bono record sealing services. What's different about this year compared to the other years is for the first time our application for clinic opened and closed within 24 hours. Our capacity was reached in 24 hours! In 72 hours, we had 100+ people on a waitlist to be notified for the next record sealing event in 2025. This proves that our pro bono legal services for petition-based record sealing is at an all-time high. Expunge Colorado provides an essential service to people who are in need of jobs, housing and a chance to move forward with dignity from their past. We cannot do this work without the help of sponsors and donors. If you believe in criminal justice reform, reparative justice, and social equity and are in a position to donate, please consider our local 501c3 nonprofit.
