Hi, I'm Lisa Marie Maxson and I'm the CEO of 10X People. What inspired me to go for a career in digital infrastructure? Really, when I started out, computer science was new. You know, technology was pretty new. And I knew I loved math, and I didn't know what to do with math except for being a math teacher. And then I found a computer class that I had to take as part of my undergraduate degree and just fell in love with it, and that's where I got my start. It was one of four women in my program at the University of Kentucky, and from there I just moved forward. I interned, I worked at IBM and then moved forward through my career to other companies. The advice I'd give to women looking to go into the digital infrastructure for their career is to find a mentor as early as you can. Find a mentor. Someone who believes in you, someone who will support you. Get an internship, get your foot in the door. Learn because what you think you might like might not be where you end up. But learn as much as you can. Interface and connect to other women in the industry. They will help lift you up so that you can be successful in your career. My one word for the digital infrastructure in 2025 is explosive. There is just so much going on with our industry with the need for data centers and build out to support the AI structure, infrastructure and where we are moving forward.
