While Dan & I were on our Door County trip, we visited several wineries, breweries & restaurants. One of our favorites ?? was Hill Street in Fish Creek. ?? The cocktails, the food & the vibe were all so AMAZING at Hill Street, but what I loved most was the culture. ?? I always say that culture is something that doesn't just happen. It's your company's values & beliefs manifested in the behavior of everyone at your organization. And WOW, does Hill Street have a great culture. ?? The bartenders were kind & enthusiastic. They were patient with every person that asked them a question. They had fun & made sure everyone else around them was having a good time, too. ?????? This might not seem like a big deal. They're selling a product. Of course they need to be nice to the people who are buying it, right? ?? Yes, but there was something different ?? about Hill Street. You could tell that the owners & the employees trusted one another. They communicated with one another. They had autonomy & agency. All I'll say is that it made what they were selling taste even better to me. ?? ??When you're able to live your culture in such an obvious way, you bring everyone into your orbit. And that's a great thing. ?? Has anyone else had a great experiences with a company or business culture recently? ROLE SUMMARY: Seasonals at Anheuser-Busch train and work beside full-time operators in a manufacturing environment during the busiest months of the year. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and operate high-speeded production equipment and/or complex brewing systems with attention to detail and a sense of urgency. Perform industrial cleaning of production lines, production work areas or other parts of the facility to maintain strict food plant sanitation standards. Perform process quality control checks and work on a team. Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Reaction Plans and sanitation practices are followed at all times. Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, in order to load, unload, and/or transport packaging materials, raw materials, and finish products

This photo doesn’t do the last few days justice. Conferences(Assemble Holidays would be a more appropriate name) often seem to come at a time when you don’t want to be away from your desk etc. BUT wowee was it great to let the hair down over the last few days, get to know people from our sister businesses better and to get the “good oil” from some of the best in the business about what’s helped them be successful in business and to build successful businesses. The common denominators were the importance of hiring good people, with shared values, who will add to an already great culture, be kind and to provide opportunity. Look forward to the next one.
