Two November presentations in the Novaparke Innovation Expo Speaker Series for entrepreneurs and start-ups have been announced. David M. Baird will speak on all things related to finance in starting or operating a business on Monday, November 4 at 6 p.m. And on Wednesday, November 6, also at 6 p.m., Dr. Saeed Tajdini will speak on marketing for entrepreneurs and business owners. Both sessions will be held in the Conference Center, Building 2 at Novaparke Innovation & Technology Campus, 111 Innovation Parkway in Georgetown, Indiana. Both sessions are free and open to all. Since 2010, David M. Baird has been Senior Lecturer in Economics at Indiana University Southeast, teaching classes in economics, entrepreneurship and business, and serving on a number of University committees. He also is managing partner of a for-profit business with annual sales exceeding $1.6 million, and a faith-based nonprofit training and leadership organization. In addition, he teaches two personal finance courses through a homeschool co-op. Dr. Saeed Tajdini is Associate Professor of Marketing in the School of Business at Indiana University Southeast. From 2017 to 2023, he was Associate Professor of Marketing, also at IU Southeast. Prior to that, he was a Marketing Instructor at The University of Texas at El Paso, College of Business Administration. He has served as an analytics consultant for Ovare Group in Louisville, and a marketing analyst for Kassoun Co. in Tehran, Iran. Both workshops are part of Innovation Expo 2024, a months-long series of programs and events presented by Novaparke Innovation and Technology Campus, and designed to educate and empower entrepreneurs and start-ups throughout the southern Indiana region. Located just off interstate 64 on the Edwardsville Georgetown Corridor, Novaparke Innovation & Technology Campus is a unique setting designed as part of the Edwardsville Gateway Master Plan specifically for companies on the leading edge of their industries.
