Colors of Humanity Art Gallery - "SKIES" Call for Entry - Online Art Show - THEME- "Skies" The sky can tell us so much. You can look towards it for hope in seeing rainbows, in fear during storms, for comfort by the moon and stars, and find pictures written in the clouds. PAY IT FORWARD- We will be donating 10% of all entry fees from this show to SERRV International. SERRV is a nonprofit organization with a mission to eradicate poverty wherever it resides by providing opportunity and support to artisans and farmers worldwide. Colors of Humanity is not affiliated with SERRV. ELIGIBILITY- All artists 18 and over may enter. JUDGING CRITERIA- Originality, interpretation, quality, demonstration of ability, and usage of medium. JUROR- Janelle Cogan. ENTRY FEE- $20 for 1 or 2 pieces (You may enter more than once if you have additional works.) AWARDS- Cash prize will be given to the Best of Show winner. Additionally, the "Best of Show" winner will be featured with his or her artwork on the cover of the show and it will be largely displayed with an article about them and their work. Other winners will be featured and have similar recognition. All accepted works will be displayed with the artist name, title of work, and a link back to their website, or email address if they do not have a website. SALES- All sales are conducted solely between the artist and the buyer. Colors of Humanity Art Gallery does not handle any part of the sale or collect any commission. Colors of Humanity Art Gallery - "LANDSCAPES" 2024 Call for Entry - Online Art Show - THEME- According to Webster Dictionary, the definition of landscape is: “Land′scape n. 1. A portion of land or territory which the eye can comprehend in a single view, including all the objects it contains. 2. A picture representing a scene by land or sea, actual or fancied, the chief subject being the general aspect of nature, as fields, hills, forests, water, etc. 3. The pictorial aspect of a country." It can be expressed many ways and we look forward to seeing your interpretation. PAY IT FORWARD- We will be donating 10% of all entry fees from this show to the Global Food Initiative. GFI assists hungry people in developing food security. GFI has raised over $8,000,000 for community development projects in numerous countries around the globe. Colors of Humanity Art Gallery - "Human Nature" 2024 Call for Entry - Online Art Show - This show is all about the human figure and portrait as well as referring to the distinguishing characteristics of humans—including ways of thinking, feeling and acting—which humans tend to have naturally, independently of the influence of culture. This is our 10th annual show, and we are excited to see your interpretation. PAY IT FORWARD - We will be donating 10% of all entry fees from this show to Your Safe Haven. YSH is a nonprofit agency, located in Bedford County, PA, that serves victims of all serious crimes and their families, including, but not limited to: domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, theft, homicide, robbery, physical assault, DUI related crimes, adult survivors of child sexual assault, etc. Colors of Humanity is not affiliated with Your Safe Haven. ?????? ?????? ???????????????? ????????????? Even though the wealthy may be economically disconnected from others, they still want to belong. Perhaps going to an art auction and participating in bidding makes them feel connected. Some people believe that leaving an art auction empty-handed causes emptiness, while others claim that purchasing high-end art gives them a thrill and even fills a spiritual void. Everyone has an innate desire to belong, which manifests differently depending on the situation. For example, a reaction to disconnectedness may indicate an element of addiction. However, not everyone who invests heavily in art has a problem. Individuals and philanthropic trusts or foundations recognise that the arts have the potential to address a wide range of social and community needs. In this way, expensive art can be given a noble purpose and help to bridge the divide between the wealthy and the poor. Even if the psychological effectiveness of giving back is debatable, it does direct money towards a positive purpose. #art #artist #artistic #artwork #artoftheday #drawings #photography
