? I'm wondering if the collective leadership crowd can help me on this one. I'm searching for your experiences with leader development programs/fellowships targeted toward government employees at the GS-14/15 level ? ? When I was in the United States Department of Defense it was easy to figure out what Leader Development Programs (#LDP) were available and what was next. Now that I'm at U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), it's not so clear - it's almost like being a grown up! ?? I've been researching a variety of LDPs from government, nonprofit, and university programs, free and paid, from fellowships to internships, and discovering new ones from your posts nearly every week! Here's an example of some of the programs that I can readily recall: ?? Agency SES Career Development Programs #SESCDP ?? #OPM #CLD & #FEI ?? White House Leadership Development Program #WHLDP ?? I haven't been going to class for the past 6 weeks! Chill... I've been on an Internship... Last Friday, I concluded my 6-week teaching practice, juggling roles as teacher, student, and President of Lead City Voices. In our final moment together, I shared my story with SS3 students, hoping to inspire their journey to success. Initially, I had a script, but the moment I got in front of the students, everything I had planned to say suddenly vanished from my mind... I had to be spontaneous... I had to come up with something real fast... these were SS3 students, and I never had an opportunity to teach or familiarise myself with them for the past 6 weeks... this wasn't the time to make any blunder, not on my last day here... I had to make sure my impact was made before I left (as per leader wey I be) So I got up there and started "I want to share with you today, my own Story") I shared with them how: - Unaware of opportunities after secondary school, I stumbled upon Lead City University. - Curiosity led me to join Lead City Voices, reshaping and transforming a whole lot of my life as a student. - Desire for change fueled growth, connecting me with remarkable people and experiences. My message was simple: "Find your will, and when you leverage on that, there'll surely be a way!" I talked about how we've all been wired to always be in our comfort zone, until there's a catalyst for change and how a little desire for change could be the spark we needed for growth to happen and hown unimaginable the awesome result could be... We sealed our time together in prayer, feeling the Holy Spirit's presence. : - Desire for change sparks growth.
