How is our Prosecco made? We begin in the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene where La Reggenza winery harvest the Glera grapes used to make the sparkling wine (the winery's Prosecco Rosé is made from 90% Glera and 10% Pinot Nero). The selected grapes then undergo a light pressing in order to extract free run (juice that runs freely from the grape and has the higest concentration of acid, sugar and flavour) before passing on to the vinification phase. The grapes are fermented twice, using the Martinotti-Charmat method during the second fermentation. The sparkling process, as it is otherwise known, makes the difference in producing high quality wines. Finally the Prosecco is beautifully bottled and sent across the globe waiting to be popped open by you at home.
