In this newly released area, we have now launched the survey and TRR stages across 8 Agg zones, with a projected reach of 4,000 homes. Our team is moving full speed ahead, aiming to have Sparkbrook live by the end of March 2025. Tamworth ?? Works are well underway with the completion of the Spine and Pon TRR, our crews are hard at work on both underground and overhead cabling. It’s all hands on deck as we push to bring customers online by Christmas. Shirebrook ??We’re thrilled to start the TRR phase where we’re collaborating closely with OR on the FB26 contract to expand our footprint even further. Manatee County Projects Lakewood Ranch Blvd at Gatewood Dr Intersection Improvements Description and Scope Evaluate, design, permit, and construct a span wire traffic signal with concrete assemblies and pedestrian crossings at all legs. Evaluate, design, permit, and construct turn lane improvements (adding or extending) as needed. Install a non-intrusive detection system, CCTV cameras, Microwave Vehicle Detection Systems (MVDS), and a fiber-optic connection to the Traffic Management Center (TMC). Rationale Lakewood Ranch Blvd and Gatewood Dr are classified as arterial and collector roads, respectively, in the County's Comprehensive Plan. The intersection currently has one-way stop control on Gatewood Dr, causing inefficiencies during peak times. Traffic in the area is growing due to future developments, necessitating improved safety and traffic flow. An interim traffic signal is recommended to enhance safety and operations. Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), including fiber, CCTV cameras, and MVDS, will be added for better monitoring and operational capabilities. Future upgrades to mast arms or a potential roundabout will be assessed.
