Empowering Futures in Moamba, Mozambique! With support from IOM - UN Migration, 66 youths graduated, and 47 received start-up kits in Moamba. These kits, for courses such as Locksmithing, Cutting and Sewing, Electrical Installation, and Cooking, are helping to reduce poverty and boost incomes by enabling the start of new businesses. ICYMI: It is generally accepted that pooled funds are a positive vehicle for localisation. INGOs are more critical towards pooled funds compared to national NGOs but there is agreement by all NGO recipients to advocate for multiyear funding pooled funds. "In #Ukraine, we have taken the standard tools used globally and we have contextualised them to the Ukraine context and the context of the national actors who are working here... This has enabled us to onboard and work in partnership with many more national NGOs. This critical question was the main topic discussed between colleagues from the Nordic House in Yangon, the International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC, a visiting delegation from Danish R?de Kors alongside Danish Red Cross in Myanmar, a few days ago. ?????? ???? ???????? ?????????? ???? ??????????????????? Nearly 50 percent—or more than half a billion people—of the population living in FCS are in contexts where relations between international actors and de facto authorities are so-called ‘politically estranged’ due to coups d'état or other unconstitutional changes. #Myanmar, rather than being an outlier, is part of a tragic new norm. We need to adapt to this new reality.
