Absolutely resonate with the findings! But I am not going to switch off from news. ?? I rely on platforms like Google News to stay informed, as it brilliantly compiles all the headlines in one user-friendly interface. This allows me to selectively choose what to read, and more importantly, mute topics like the never-ending Malaysian political debates and some of the celebrity gossip that tends to flood the newsfeed. ?? How do you guys stay updated? Share your go-to news sources! #NewsJunkie #StayInformed

Here is an interesting and evolving situation for the news media to address. The trust in traditional news channels and publications continues to decline especially in the young. Witha large youth population and the godi media reference to many news channels, the state of news industry in the country can only mean disastrous. Hope the media industry is putting a plan to regain their lost glory and compete with the digital media industry and new formats like podcasts, which seem more apt to get real value.

This is not a simple information. Many news outlets in Cambodia have closed in the last year, and two more this month due to financial viability. A study by Transparency International in Cambodia showed that many young people are not interested or engaged in politics. News is essential, but it can also be overwhelming. Yet, switching off from the news can have negative impacts including: ?? Reduced awareness of current events, issues, and challenges. ??Diminished civic engagement and participation in democratic processes. ??Weakened social cohesion and empathy. We need to find a balance between staying informed and avoiding news overload. Some proposed strategies are: ??Choosing reliable and credible news sources. ??Limiting news consumption?to a certain amount of time or frequency per day or week & avoiding news before bedtime. ??Seeking positive and constructive news. ??Engaging in self-care and coping activities including reducing

News = a massive, vital, and sensitive issue with no immediate solutions. However, we better find them fast in order to correct so many current social issues created by mis/dis/information, ultimately pushing a dangerous lack of appeal for real information. NOTE: complaining is not one of those solution.
