That’s quite a while ago at this point, so we thought that we’d give you a quick history lesson about where we came from and how we got to where we are today! ?? While deciding to buy a farm, Craig (our co-founder) recognised that traditional insulation could no longer easily meet modern-day construction and design requirements. In response, the father-son duo — Craig and William, founded SuperFOIL! ?? And so, the SuperFOIL journey began… ?? The business outgrew multiple different office buildings including a large facility in Tuxford, so the decision was made to move to a 5 acre facility in #Lincoln! ?? The story doesn’t end there however, as in 2017, Will Bown took over as Managing Director – with Craig still remaining very much involved in overseeing the business. From 8 employees to over 40, SuperFOIL kept growing, securing major deals with household name retailers, such as Aldi, Wickes, Wilko, Travis Perkins and many more! ?? Fast forward to today: with a dedicated team of over 65 professionals, SuperFOIL leads the UK market in reflective foil insulation. At AVLV Architecture & Development, we've had the pleasure of growing an architecure services business. It's an equal pleasure to take those experiences and put them into our own projects. ?? We don't just know how to design a project — we know how to navigate plans and permits through the political landscape, spearhead construction administration, conduct due-diligence, run third parties, cultivate an interested investor base, underwrite our own transactions, develop marketing materials, coordinate with financial partners — dig up dirt, execute, and exit. ?? It's clear that capital drives expansion, and for Durham, that's particularly true in the industrial sector right now. Over the last four years, industrial rent growth has soared, with Class C spaces experiencing a close to 80% hike. As companies like VinFast expand, service-based businesses will increasingly need spaces, and they likely will not be looking at Class A buildings. At the moment, I'm focused on repositioning assets and transforming industrial properties into retail opportunities. This approach not only meets demand but maximizes value.
